Salvatore Tolone Azzariti

Salvatore is an expert in international law, human rights, and transnational litigation, with a particular focus on asset recovery in cases against sovereign states. His work seeks to secure reparations for victims of international crimes, addressing complex legal challenges in cross-border disputes and advocating for justice on a global scale. As a member of FIV, Salvatore has contributed to cases involving transnational criminal law, and commercial and civil law litigation across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.

 

Salvatore holds a Master of Jurisprudence and a DPhil in Law from the University of Oxford and earned his law degree from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. A distinguished academic, he has taught at the University of Oxford and other prestigious institutions, and his scholarly work focuses on property rights, liability, and their intersection with human rights in global legal frameworks. He is also the author of a seminal work on temporary property rights, reflecting his deep expertise in international private law and his commitment to advancing the understanding of justice and accountability in the global arena.
